Your Unc got offered a job as a crop spraying pilot in Missouri... but turned it down to come back to the UK (crop sprayers didn't tend to live long at the time & I'd only just got my licences)... I loved this kind of flying and had some great times flying into grass fields and dog fighting with a german chap... great, great fun !
